Slash Class

The goal of this class is to provide low-cost, competitive racing.  In keeping with that goal, we request that the Slash trucks remain as "box stock" as possible.  This includes, but not limited to, stock motor, ESC, tires, etc.  On the other hand, we realize that parts break, and stock replacement parts are not always available.  The allowed changes / modifications are listed below.  If it's not on the list, it's not allowed.

Battery - Any six-cell or seven-cell NiMH / NiCd or two-cell (2S) LiPo R/C car battery is allowed.  Must fit in stock location.

Radio - Aftermarket radios and receivers are allowed.  The stock steering servo must be retained.

Body - Any body made specifically for the Slash, including Traxxas, ProLine, JConcepts, etc.

Electronics - Replacement (i.e. Dean's Plugs) battery connectors are allowed.  You are allowed to rotate the ESC and remove the "banana plugs" on the motor leads.

Suspension - Aluminum shock caps for the stock shocks are allowed.  Aftermarket (i.e. RPM) replacement a-arms and hubs are allowed, as long as they do not change the layout or design of original suspension, and do not result in a significant weight reduction.

Drivetrain - Any combination of spur and pinion gears that will fit under the stock or RPM gear cover are allowed.

Please don't try to get "creative" with the rules.  No drilling holes in the chassis, doping the tires, or trying to sneak a ball differential past tech inspection.  A body-off, visual inspection may be required prior to the start of the mains.
