Summer Theatre Camp 2011 Godspell Jr. The Harris County Ensemble Theatre will be offering a Children’s
Summer Camp May 30th- June 10th from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm at Harris County
Carver Middle School (HCCMS) in Hamilton, GA. This camp is designed to teach
theatre skills through a typical rehearsal process loaded with singing and
dancing and PLENTY OF FUN AND GAMES! At the end of the two weeks, the
students will perform in front of a live audience! This is a great
opportunity for kids to learn self-confidence, teamwork, and other virtues
through a musical adaptation of the Book of Matthew. Open to all rising 5th –
rising 9th grade students.
A second camp is being offered for rising 1st - rising 4th
graders. This camp will concentrate on teaching theatre basics like stage
directions, stage presence, and character development. These students will
also be featured in several songs from the show.
